Smooth, creamy, organic. No, we’re not talking about guacamole – we’re referencing our SPF 50 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Butter. Made with zinc-oxide, this reef-friendly butter physically blocks UVA/UVB rays and is tinted with iron oxides to blend with most skin tones. Leaves a “barely-there” matte finish.

Benefits of our Tinted Sunscreen Butter

  • Topical mineral sunscreen for face or body
  • Strong UVA/UVB broad-spectrum sun protection
  • Oxybenzone-free, made with only Reef Friendly ingredients
  • Great for extreme weather, even greater for sensitive skin
  • Very Water Resistant (80 minutes)
Head’s up! This product is made with iron oxides, which have been known to leave a stain on light, and particularly WHITE fabrics. If you’re rocking tinted sunscreen, try to avoid rubbing your face or body on light-colored clothing, towels, and furniture. Check out our FAQs for ways to remove tinted sunscreen stains.

Description

Finally, a zinc sunscreen that blends in with your skin tone! Made from a mineral blend of Zinc oxide and botanical ingredients, our SPF 50 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen Butter uses plant-based iron oxides to blend seamlessly with most skin tones. Super hydrating and goes on smooth thanks to a blend of coconut oil and jojoba oil. This facial sunscreen won’t leave your skin greasy and won’t clog your pores (sensitive skin, rejoice!). The most active ingredient, zinc oxide, actually sits on top of your skin to physically block UVA and UVB rays and beeswax gives this butter an extra “oomph” in the waterproof department (water-resistant for 80 minutes). Broad-spectrum SPF in a handy dandy portable tin – can we get an “Amen” for plastic-free packaging? Rub a dub dub, the best tinted sunscreen butter in a tub.

GOOD CARE

Because zinc sits on top of your skin rather than absorbing into it, zinc sunscreens can be tricky to get off of fabric. Our Mineral Tinted Sunscreens are made with iron oxides to blend seamlessly with most skin tones. This means that they can leave a mark on light, and particularly WHITE fabrics. If this happens to you, use household soap or dish soap and scrub the garment before washing with normal instructions. For specific cleaning instructions, see our FAQ’s page.

reef friendly

Unlike conventional chemical sunscreens that are harmful to humans and marine life, All Good mineral sunscreen products are made with the active ingredient, zinc oxide. Zinc oxide is a topical, non-nanoparticle, mineral-based ingredient that sits on top of your skin and won’t absorb into your body; it is one of only two ingredients that has been FDA-approved for general recognition of safety and effectiveness (GRASE)*. All or our All Good reef-friendly suncare products meet broad-spectrum FDA standards and reef safe criteria. Our ingredients do not include chemical UV absorbers, parabens or harmful additives (and especially no octinoxate, oxybenzone, and the other chemicals in the “Awful Eight”).

*The FDA is asking for more safety data on 12 additional active sunscreen ingredients in order to determine whether they can be classified as GRASE. We’ll do our best to keep you informed as soon as we hear more!

  1. Question

    Jorja

I really like this product because it has iron oxide in it but I’m concerned that it will be too dark for my pale skin. Is there another sunscreen that has iron oxide that i could get?

    Great product, but too orange!

    SN

Unfortunately, the color is really orangey. If there were some different shade options, it’d be fantastic. Bummer!

    • Fairshop

I mix this tinted sunscreen butter with another spf50 sunscreen (a non-nano white zinc) in order to get the perfect fair-light tint. FINALLY!! I have a sunscreen/make-up solution for my light, sensitive skin.

After spending nearly $1000 trying sunscreens (from colorscience, to eltaMD and epionce—ALL had nano particles and made my skin look terrible hours after application) over the last few years, I’m thrilled to find a non-nano physical blocker that WORKS & doesn’t clog pores!

Thank you…now I’m feeling ALL Good!!

  3. Question

    Linda

I bought a tin of the tinted last year, and really like it! I can’t read the EXP date, it rubbed off. How long is your usual expiry date?

      Hello Linda,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying our tinted sunscreen butter. Our products have a two-year shelf life, so you should have at least a few more months of use left before the expiration date.

Feel free to reach out to me at Info@allgoodproducts.com with any additional questions!

    Too hard to use

    Nancy

I bought this tin at the place I work I am not sure if it’s old or what but it was so thick in the tin that I couldn’t even spread the consistency is horrible and not user friendly. I had to rage a cosmetic spatula to get it out .

Hey Nancy, I’m sorry to hear that you had trouble using our tinted sunscreen butter. The product should be able to soften up quickly by swirling your finger around the tin to warm up the butter. If you’re unable to soften the product this way it’s possible that your product came expired or defective. There should be an expiration date on the bottom of your tin. If the product is expired or defective I would be happy to replace it for you. If not, I would personally recommend trying our Tinted Mineral Sunscreen for an easier application process. Our Tinted Mineral Sunscreen comes in a tube which makes application quick and easy.

I’ll go ahead and send you an email so that we can work toward a resolution to your issue.

      All the Best,
      Alaya

    A Marvelous Product

    Nodiah Brent

I’m very, very picky about what I use. I teach facial rejuvenation and part of that is an emphasis on natural products. Living at altitude with olive skin requires protection against hyperpigmentation. I was using a high quality product from another natural company but I am phasing out plastics because most of what is recycled winds up in the landfill. I like this product so much more than anything else I’ve ever tried! The coverage is perfect, the tint is very natural, and the finish is dewy without being too shiny. If it gets thicker in cold weather, I’ll just combine it with a light natural sunscreen. I love that this product is unscented. Please never stop making it and always continue to package it in tin.

Works, but orange and made me break out

    CR

This prevented me from getting a sunburn, so it works. But it also made me look like Donald Trump, and then a few days into use I started getting pimples. This isn’t a good product for face.

    Hated this

    Melanie

Hated this. It gave me white cast and I needed to exfoliate to get it off and even then, it didn’t all come off.

Used it once and now it’s going in the trash, unless I can give it away.

      Hi there,

We don’t have any plans to make our sun butter without beeswax. That said, we have several other sun care products that might meet your needs.

Feel free to email us at info@allgoodproducts.com if you have any questions about which one might be the best fit for you 🙂

Unfortunately I wouldn’t know how the sunscreen performs because the color is NOT good. It was orange. Actually orange. They should really think about doing a couple more shades as it would definitely be too light for some skin tones and was much too dark/warm for my own.

      Hi Victoria,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear you’ve had an unsatisfactory experience with our Tinted Sunscreen Butter. The tint we use does not match all skin tones, particularly very light shades of skin, so we recommend you mix it with one of our tinted sunscreens to perfect the shade for you! We will be in contact via email to share some more tips with you. ?

i want to say that this product is great!! i have super sensitive ecczema and acne prone skin . i thought I would break out because of the oils, but to my surprise I did not and it makes my skin feel nice and soft. It is water resistant , so to get it off you do need to oil cleanse or use an oil based cleanser to break it down then use cleanser . The color is great, and blends in sheer enough on light brown skin. PLEASE do not doscontinue this product, is so hard to. find a good sunscreen that is natural for skin that is not super white. It really has been a long search and now I am finally satisfied !

Extremely happy with this sunscreen. I’ve tried the untinted, but I LOVE the tint as it is perfect for my skin tone and works like a BB cream. (My skin tone is a medium brown.) I use this product pretty much every single day. It is important to me that sunscreen that is coral reef safe and without harmful chemicals so I highly recommend this product. It does drip a bit when sweaty– easy to deal with while hiking… but not as easy when surfing (but who cares– it’s safe for our oceans!)! I HIGHLY recommend this and will buy it again.
