Description

All Good SPF 30 Sport Mineral Sunscreen Spray is made from a reef-friendly blend of zinc oxide and botanical ingredients, and comes in a convenient “bag-on-valve” spray that uses compressed air instead of propellent chemicals. It’s not drippy, goes on dry, and doesn’t leave your skin chalky, white, or greasy. (Seriously, hairy people and parents of picky kids love this stuff – just read the reviews). This mineral sunscreen spray is a similar mineral formula as the Sport Sunscreen Lotion, so it’s super hydrating and easy to rub in thanks to a blend of organic coconut oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter.

Other organic ingredients like green tea, rose hips, and buriti oil actually repair damaged skin from sunburn and windburn. Since it’s a mineral-based sunscreen, you can expect full spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays and water-resistant protection for 80 minutes. The best part is a top that locks shut so you don’t accidentally spray it everywhere. Sanity in a spray bottle.

reef friendly

Unlike conventional chemical sunscreens that are harmful to humans and marine life, All Good mineral sunscreen products are made with the active ingredient, zinc oxide. Zinc oxide is a topical, non-nanoparticle, mineral-based ingredient that sits on top of your skin and won’t absorb into your body; it is one of only two ingredients that has been FDA-approved for general recognition of safety and effectiveness (GRASE)*. All or our All Good reef-friendly suncare products meet broad-spectrum FDA standards and reef safe criteria. Our ingredients do not include chemical UV absorbers, parabens or harmful additives (and especially no octinoxate, oxybenzone, and the other chemicals in the “Awful Eight”).

*The FDA is asking for more safety data on 12 additional active sunscreen ingredients in order to determine whether they can be classified as GRASE. We’ll do our best to keep you informed as soon as we hear more!

What is the pH? I can only use products with skin-identical pH (~4.5-5.7) due to sensitivities.

      Hello There,

Thank you for reaching out to us! Those are some great questions.

      1. When you explain the propellant, are there any nano particles in the spray that could be inhaled?
The active zinc oxide we use is non-nano particle. When sprayed, the material can be inhaled, just like anything in a misted format. There for, if using on the face, it is best to spray on the legs, arms or even in the hands, then apply to face, ears and neck.

      2. If the bag inside the can breaks, will the sunscreen and the repellant mix together or will it not spray?
Inside the can, between the bag and the wall of the can is just air. So, if the bag were to break, it would lose its pressure and not spray, but if the sunscreen could be accessed, it would still be fine to apply.

      3. The botanical ingredients listed , it should be noted , have not been approved for safety for planning pregnancy , or pregnant, or breast feeding. We are not medical professionals, and we recommend that every individual work with their medical professional to address any concerns on ingredients. Many times, in the case of pregnancy, excessive use of certain botanical ingredients can be a suggested avoidance by doctors, but it can be addressed individually, so we recommend each mom or mom to be consult with their professional advisors.

      4. Has the official Hawaii site agreed that it is Reef Safe as Hawaii has warnings about sunscreens using that label when not true?
We are not sure what is being referred to as the “official Hawaii site”, but we generally agree that the term “Reef Safe” has been wrongly used. According to scientists, there are many chemicals that can cause damage to coral, and we avoid all of these. After the first Hawaii legislation, we saw sunscreen re-formulations very quickly add additional harmful chemicals that were not listed on the legislation. Since then, the counties of Maui and Hawaii (big island) have passed mineral only regulations. We support these regulatory improvements, and we continue to adhere to the strictest guidelines in our choice of ingredients.

Please feel free to reach out to us directly at info@allgoodproducts.com with any additional questions!

      All the Best,
      Caroline and Alaya

    Spray can will not spray

    Amy VanDerBosch

I love your sunscreen and was excited to find it in a spray. But the can will simply not spray at all. I keep shaking it, making sure it is twisted open, and nothing. Very disappointing. Good money for a product I cannot use.

      Hi Amy,

Thanks for letting us know about your troubles with the spray bottle you purchased. It sounds like the nozzle is clogged, which can happen when the zinc cakes in the small nozzle during periods of not being used. You could try to unclog the nozzle by running it under warm water and inserting a thin needle into the nozzle itself. This seems to be working for other customers as long as the needle is thin enough to make it into the nozzle opening.

If that doesn’t work, please contact us at info@allgoodproducts.com so we can figure something out for you 🙂

  4. Question

    Robert Harmon

Does it say biodegradable on the label? I need a spray that I can use in Cancun and it must be biodegradable.

      Hi Robert,

Some of our older labels may say biodegradable. All of our newer labels do not have biodegradable on them.

Regardless of the label, the product itself is biodegradable but the packaging is not biodegradable.

      Hi Stan,

We use bag on valve propellant technology for our sunscreen sprays. The sunscreen is contained in a bag within the can, and the compressed air (just regular air – no chemicals) is stored outside the bag, between the bag and the can wall. The only substance released from the nozzle is the sunscreen itself, as the bag in the can keeps the sunscreen separate from the compressed air. So yes, just pressurized air 🙂

      Hi there,

Yes, our Sport Sunscreen Spray is fragrance-free! The only sunscreen product that has a fragrance is our SPF 30 Coconut Sunstick.

Didn't think it would work – happily mistaken

    Hannah (verified owner)

I was very skeptical about the idea of a mineral sunscreen spray, but this worked great! By its nature it’s never going to rub in as well as non-mineral sunscreen, but I appreciate how much easier it is to get coverage! Solid product, will buy again.

The best sunscreen ever! I’ve tried so many natural sunscreens that where too thick and smelly. This sunscreen soaks into my skin like a moisturizer. I use it on my face as well and I have sensitive skin. It has a light natural smell that reminds me of going to the beach. The spray is convenient.

I had previously used the lotion and fell in love with product as I became allergic to the OTC varieties. Found this is the spray can, loved it but both containers quit working with much of the product still left. Will be taking back to store for a replacement. Back to the lotion in the tube. Product 5 stars, Container 1 star
